Someone, allegedly, based in Ireland, tried, yesterday, to get through my Bank security system and order him/herself goods to the value of £116.45 and £129, plus a deliveroo for good measure.
On my Credit Card....
I received a text from a number that I didn't know, advising me of the charges, saying that they blocked the purchases from going through and asking me to reply to the text to confirm whether it was me or not.
A few minutes later I receive another text...

I called the number at the back of the card directly.
And yes, someone tried to wiggle £48.+ for a Deliveroo take out ....
As an extremely vigilant bank, they stopped the payment as out of character and contacted me ASAP....

I recently sent a phone to the Philippines via DHL for my partner. Initially it was going through the system quickly, went through our customs, hong kong customs etc.
However, it has now been stuck at Philippines customs for like 4 or 5 days.

Is this normal for PH? What is the likely timeframe etc?

By now, quite a few of those contraptions, have collapsed under the strain of their own weight, strenght of the variable winds, early fatigue, and whathaveyou....
And we, the tax paying public are taxed extra so that the various conpanies involved in building and running the turbines, can do so with a hefty subsidy...

Very late, (said they couldn't find us the first time they tried to deliver.... which was absolute pathetic nonsense, considering the driver had a map, directions and phone numbers, and was 200 yards from our house, where we are well-known). All boxes crushed, battered, partly open. Damp.

Zero communication from them, or even the courtesy of answers to emails and texts.
