    Hello guys.First of all,I would like to express my profound gratitude to this website.From the time,I applied and granted a Fiancé Visa,to my journey to UK,got married and now on the process of my 1st FLR,this site has been a great help for me and my husband.It serves as our guidance,it clarifies all our inquiries and doubts by just reading the forum and conversations.As a matter of fact before we finalized my online application for my Entry visa,my husband made a post and asked members to double check the documents that we had to submit and we received a detailed and favourable responses from very helpful members. And we are so grateful.
    We had already applied for FLR through Premium Services which is scheduled next week. Through reading the conversations in the Visa and Immigration Section of this site.My husband and I believe we have all the documents that needed for the FLR application.
    Now,I have to face the reality,the 5 months of being a pampered stay at home princess just waiting for my prince to come home after work is over,once my FLR has been approved,and already eligible to work in UK,the reality kicks in. I need to work. And to start with,I need to know what is NVQ? I am college level in the Philippines and I want to pursue a career in Healthcare.I've been doing plenty of research in this career and they keep mentioning a NVQ level 2 qualifications that I find it so confusing. Could anyone help me how to convert a Philippine Education System to UK System? How could I get a NVQ qualifications? Is there any way I could use my Educational Attainment (BS Biology,college level) to pursue a career in the field of Healthcare? If you could send me a link or answers regarding this matter,please do.Thank you so much and More Power and yes,I am totally loving the UK life.

    Good news about getting the visa :)

    If it is your intention to gain the NVQ qualification then you will have no problems attaining them as they are quite low level qualifications in the UK to the extent that some people say that NVQ stands for not very qualified.

    If I was you I would get your Philippine degree recognised by UK NARIC they are the qualifications body in the UK that grade overseas qualifications, my wife did this before leaving the Philippines and her degrees were deemed equal to ones gained in the UK. Even if your degree is not the equivalent of a UK degree it may still be regarded as a higher UK qualification like a HND/HNC which in NVQ terms would be a NVQ level 6/7 so worth doing. Its not a lot of money to apply but you will need information from your college in the Philippines itemising the course work and content.

    Don't sell yourself short, try to get a job that reflects your qualifications and line of work.

    The link below will give you all the information you need;

    Thank you very much Timmer for this information.This is such a big help for me.Now,instead of devoting most of my time about NVQ qualification informations.I will click the link you give me and proceed. I studied and completed 106 units in a degree of BS Biology at University of the Philippines.I brought with me all the papers/documents related to my Education such as my Transcript of Records(Secondary and College),letter from the Dean etc.Once again thank you,very much appreciated.

    I have been told that you stand a better chance of having your degree recognised as equivalent to one gained in UK if you have attended one of the top Philippine university's which I believe UOP is so good luck.

    It may be worth also to get the paperwork from your old university to say all subjects were taught in English, this will make you exempt from having to sit another English test for any future visa applications, I wish we'd done it now.
