Any ideas why a local authority says we must give them a blank cd with our names and date of marriage on it ?

That sounds odd. A CD would not be considered legal evidence. Can you describe which local authority you are referring to and the conversation that took place and exactly what was requested?

Surprise ,surprise, the reason was very simple.
We gave them a dvd .They they used it to produce a free recording of our marriage conducted by the mayor .It was a very well produced recording .
All I can say is that it was in south of the Philippines , most of you will understand why am not being more specific.

The only thing I can think of is that the south of the Philippines is heavily populated by Muslims, other than that I have not got a clue.

I better get back to doing my cryptic crossword :)

You have hit the nail on the head . I believe other members live in the south and do not advertise their whereabouts on an open forum
especially if they wish to live here permanently and safely and the UK government offer zero protection ...it is not a matter for levity.

If you feel so unsafe that you are unwilling to mention even the district where you live on an Internet forum then frankly I think you're living in the wrong place, or at least the wrong place for you given your own individual psychological make up after all who wants to live in hiding?:) I know other members on here made no secret of their whereabouts in mindanao.
