Theresa May is now the overwhelming favourite to become the next Prime Minister, after her main rival Boris Johnson sensationally dropped out of the Tory leadership contest.

I have no political affiliations, however in my opinion this woman was behind one of the most despicable policies the home office ever passed.

She would be a reasonable choice, for me either Gove, May or Liam Fox in that order.

i have long thought Theresa May would become leader of the tories--if not pm. the labour party have got to pull a huge rabbit out of the hat to offer any sort of challenge.

After seeing May being interviewed on TV I have changed my mind; Gove, Fox then Theresa May.

She has got something going on with her mouth similar to Gordon Brown and it niggles me hence my revised preference

Unfortunately I think we can write the Labour party off for the foreseeable future.

i always rated alan johnson for the role as labour leader---comes across well on the telly.

He seems like he wouldn't take any poo-poo from people and he seems like a bright spark, too.

I agree but there could be someone coming up through the ranks? Maybe Rob or Keith could enlighten us?

I wouldn't trust Gove to walk my dog! I'm in the May camp,give a women a budget she sticks to it, give her discipline to dish out she does it,give her her beliefs she sticks to them. No messing from Ms Merkel.
Failing Mrs May getting it I would settle for Nicole Minetti.

She's too ugly for me to look at for more than a few seconds. Needs to start getting some proper nights' sleep.

Just a guiess : The one where families are seperated and forced to be skype parents, or forced to sell there house and rent in order to have there Wife live with them , for some one who says the tories need to understand the pressures on ordinary people she is known as the wicked witch amongst the seperated daughter of a vicar or no

Having considered the limited choice available, and watched his little press conference today, I would now back Gove.

At least Gove is sticking to the promises he made in the referendum, whether he would keep them is another thing all together, he is a politician after all
