I am planning on submitting my GF fiancée visa on around 1st May, how long is the IELTS and T.B test valid for as she is hoping to do the IELTS in April and the T.B test in the same week.
Also is there a specific place she needs to go for the T.B. test,
At this stage she is looking to do both in Cebu as she will travel from Cagayan De Oro

    Thanks in advance

better if she can do the IELTS test soon as poss--they might be fully booked if she leaves it too near the application date. its valid for 2 years.
the TB test is valid for 6 months and there is ONLY ONE PLACE she can do it---IOM in Manila.:

Its about time the UKVI had a registered TB clinic in Cebu, must be a real pain in the backside for people to traipse all the way to Manila for the TB test, my missus was lucky as she only lived a short way away.

Thanks, we were hoping to do the IELTS in Cebu as well as the T.B. test there,
looks like she will have to go to Manila for both, (she lives in Cagayan De Oro),
    Cheers. All

I worked near CDO years back, where I do not remember but I do remember that CDO is 1 hour 30 minutes + flying time to Manila.

More expense more traipsing about :(

we lost count of the many times my lady traveled from her home in la union to manila--on a coach. usually overnight--6 to 10 hours each way depending on traffic.

Hell of a journey, at least its all behind you now, very easy to forget about the bad times once the loved one is sat next to you on the sofa :)

I have a question, do you have to wait up to 2 weeks for the IELTS certificate and then you can submit it with your visa application,
    thanks

I'm afraid, yes. Though some members here got their IELTS results in a week. Back in 2014, the results are posted online on the 13th day since the examination and 2weeks for the written results.

yes--do not apply for the visa till you have the ielts cert and the TB cert. you must present them both with the documents at VFS.

Thanks Anne, so you could be waiting 2-3 weeks before you actually get the Pass certificate, by post? and then you can submit it with your fiancée visa application.

    Hello guys good evening ,

I just wanna know something about the ielts life skills a1 test. Just took my test today and im a bit worried about what the result will be . Through out the test i confidently communicate and answered all the questions of the examiner and my partner (applicant too). Im only not sure about the audio recording questioning coz ive been distracted. There were 3 questions about the audio recording and i only answered 1 .. anybody here who experienced situation like mine ? Thanks

Hello Peejay. Wish I could be of help but this life skills test is all new to me. Gone were the days where we only have to choose between General Training and Academic Modules. Some say Life Skills is easier though, judging the way you post, I wouldn't worry too much about it ;-)

As I see your posts, I can say you speak English well, no need to worry.
And as @Timmers always guarantee, nobody fails the test. :)

Corina took the language test then moved to Manila and stayed with cousins for the IELTS and the VFS submission and biometrics. That was practical for her as she had stopped working in the expectation of coming here. Not so easy if you are holding down a job.
