Hello guys i think im probably the first Gay Person who ever joined here. Me and my partner have been together for almost 5years and just recently decided to continue our relationship to the next level. We are gay couples who wanna apply for fiance visa which is the settlement civil partnership visa... We already started saving and gathering our requirements in fact i just got my IELTS Life Skills A1 result today which i passed. Im just wondering if anyone here could help me know more about the fiance visa requirements as a civil partnership... I would greatly appreciate supperrr.

    Best Regards

    Welcome to the forum!

Someone will reply to you shortly but you would be surprised to know that there a few active members who are in same-sex relationship on this forum. They are also in the process of applying for their fiance visa.

Hi there welcome to the forum :) I will try and direct you to the right thread for you to start reading about fiancé visa. I believe there is not much difference for a gay couple applying for fiancé visa from a straight couple. I will mention you there and if you have particular concern you can always ask questions ;)

And for the record, you're not the first gay person who joined here :D Welcome to the club :p:like:

Wow. Thank you Brom thats a great Help. We're just a vit confused about wether we need to book a civil partnership at The UKs registrar or marriage booking or the venue booking... That is very confusing for us. Any help about it would be very much appreciated. :cat::like::oops:

Do you want to get married or just form a civil partnership? You can tell your boyfriend to get him in touch (call them) with a local registrar and ask if you could have provisional booking for your wedding or CP :)

That's the rule really you can't get a provisional booking if both of you are not in the UK. We were able to book one last September coz I was in the UK that time. You can tell you partner to try and call them and if they won't let you try and email them and then print the email convo to prove that you did try to book your wedding or cp :)
