Guys seriously I cannot challenge you on the actual cost of the chocolate bars, I never noticed the actual price, but I have sat eating a couple of Toblerone's (small ones I admit), whilst chatting and they cost like next to nothing in the supermarket here (Davao), no way P600. Plus Kit Kat, Cadbury's, Ferro Roche. Really cannot imagine it being worth all the hassle of buying in bulk and shipping etc.

Toblerone, Kit Kat, Cadbury's, Ferro Rocher and their ilk are all firmly in my past. I made a resolution on New Year's Day, shortly after my second helping of roast goose, two stuffings, prunes in Amagnac, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, sprouts, carrots and gravy, to lose two stone...

And I seem to be married to the only Filipina who doesn't like chocolate...

Haha. Yeah they certainly like their chocolate. You must have a "one of a kind" Filipina.
My fiancée and her family love chocolate but I have never seen anyone make it last so long. :D

Getting back on topic..... I had to ask Nanay was it OK for Kris to stay with me at my hotel.
Sign of respect and all that.

Kris went home with 10 large toblerones with her last November and I took another 15 over in January.

Very well received Kris kept them in her fridge and dispensed to family and favoured friends!

    Quite so Jim.

    Urban Dictionary definition quite amusing:-

Pasalubong is the Filipino tradition of a homecoming gift.

Pasalubongs are obligatory, and failing to bring some may result in you being stripped of your ear-rings, handbags, shoes, socks and clothes.

Are you bringing a pound of dried fish as Pasalubong again? Please bring bottles of perfume to bathe in also. Or you will have no more friends.

    :D:D
