Nine times out of ten its money for sure, still, I hope they can work around it and finally face each other in the ring, the mass of Filipinos in the UAE will just love it.

Khan is the biggest money fight available for Pacquiao (Mayweather more interested in Macgregor). Dubai is full of Filipinos and Pakistanis who would love to see that fight.

Pacquiao will be going for the easiest option, I suspect. I mean, who is Jeff Horn? Might as well rematch Chris Algieri. Pacquiao is protecting his legacy age ensuring he can still command top billing for a couple more fights. Khan is winnable, but too high risk.

Id say Pacman had about a 25% chance of losing....

Anyway...This looks a far better competitor for Pacman...31 wins 0 loss.

Terence Crawford back in the mix as Pacquiao's possible next foe

Boxing promoter Bob Arum said there are two opponents that Manny Pacquiao should consider. And they are much better options than Amir Khan.

“Khan is not the biggest fight out there for Manny this year but Terence Crawford or Adrien Broner,” the Top Rank Inc. CEO said in a report posted on the Manila Bulletin website.

Arum threw out those names after Pacquiao’s supposed plan to fight Khan in the United Arab Emirates hit a brick wall.

Khan’s camp remains confident though that it could still strike a deal with Pacquiao.

“They are still confident of the fight happening," an unnamed source told ESPN U.K., referring to Khan's group.

"If it is going to happen, something will happen (be agreed) in the next couple days. There are a group of people with businesses in the U.K. who Amir knows well, and they are handling the negotiations for the Pacquiao fight for him,” the source added.

"They are still confident that it can materialise. They think the money in the UAE is not an issue. There are people in the UAE keen to have the fight on."

Looks like it's going to be a Jeff Horn instead of Amir Khan, Terence Crawford or Adrien Broner.

    What an absolute cop out.

He must have realised that Khan had a decent chance of winning. I honestly cannot think of another reason. The money he would have made from a Khan fight would have eclipsed anything he will earn from the Horn snoozefest.

Crawford would have ended his career so I get why he avoided him.

Huge loss of respect for a fading legend.

I'm disappointed, more people have lost out than gained for the reasons you state over this change of heart from the Pacquiao camp.

Manny being one of them. He's now asked the WBO to review the decision but it won't be overturned.

If, and it's a big if, he takes the rematch he should win as maybe he wont take Horn so lightly for the next one.

Otherwise he should call it a day. It's not good seeing a hero grow old in the ring.

    I
I agree he should hang up his gloves, looked tired against Horn. Wife and millions of Filipinos thought Manny should have won. He's a hero and done enough to give Filipinos something to be proud of .
