Hi everyone, my beautiful Filipina wife Noemi and I would like to join your forum. We are here in Cavite, Manila awaiting her spouse visa to Uk. We applied priority on April 10 and were told that the home office "aim to process priority visas in 10 working days" so having paid some 70k peso for 2 prioroity spouse applications for Noemi and her daughter... we are still awaiting news and it is now May 27 ... haha I think others are having the same frustrations and the only way to get information from the un-communicative home office is to share our stories, timelines and events here on the forums! Thank you in advance for kindly accepting us Terry and Noemi Watts
to the forum! I'm quite aware of the long waiting time for the visa decision. Hoping for a positive news on your wife's application. Keep in touch!
hi Tipipay! Thank you for your message. Yes it seems common, even though prior to April i know a couple who did get a 10 day turn around, and they were successful. It is very stressful for my wife who is normally a pillar of strength and calmness. Hope you are keeping well, are you in Fils or Manila.?
The priority application doesn't seem to be going so well atm which is a shame. The UKVI should cancel that service for now if they can't keep up to it. Anyway welcome to the forum and hope you hear the good news soon.
Hi Brom, well said! They have made changes exactly at the time we applied, as is often the case issues occur at the start of any new process.. so you as a use have to be doubly vigilant .... and i bet they are in a mess... and dont want to admit it! Trouble is they hide behind a closed door... time for them to become more visible, accountable and responsive, when we customers have paid big money to them!! Hope you are keeping well.. where are you .. Fils or UK?
It's terrible having to pay for that amount and don't get the service you deserve. Absolute rip off. Fingers crossed for you. I am well thanks. Enjoying the sunshine while it lasts, here in the UK.
Thanks Brom! I was scammed once ... scammer used similar technique to this fiasco. Poor/no communication, change the rules last minute , take the money and no result... what is the difference? Haha
Welcome Terry & Noemi I hope you get visas soon...and do claim refund as I'm fairly certain you will be entitled as UKVI has taken your cash, effectively, under a false pretence. Coincidentally my fiancé and her son live in Cavite - they got their visas 3 weeks ago and will join me here in Scotland in July. All the best. Gerry
Gerry i thought spouse visas had to ratified within 30 days of approval by your girl going in to a uk post office and signing some forms etc?. If so you need to do it now... may be you have dealt with this proviso. I hope so! Thanks for your support. I plan on taking the girls upto Scotland ... may be we can meet for a bite and a karaoke...
Welcome Terry & Naomi I haven't been through the visa process myself, but I can quite understand your frustration. Hang in there, I wish you all the best with your application.
I can relate with your stress as I've waited for 6 weeks for my decision (I opted for the standard one). I think why it took them a long time to decide is because settlement applications are now being processed in Sheffield. Well, time flies. You might just receive a news one of these days. I'm from the Philippines but now here in England.
hi David and Alma ... am i correct? Sorry if not! Yes thamks.. it is very stressful.. even my rock solid beautiful Filipina wife is stressed by the mega delays, we have a 9 month baby we need to get to uk asap as she has had pneumonia twice already here. Baby is British, i have installed aircon here in Manila. But wow i feel the pressure of this delay. Thanks for your support.. are you here in Phils.. Davao? My wifr comes from Tagum clise to there.
Ah good .. we are here in Manila now waiting. But My wife originally came from Davao. We have a place in Minehead Somerset. Where are you? Maybe we can meet up sometime?
Davao? I'm also from there! Maybe your wife and I can have a chat. Aww, Somerset.. it's a bit far from me. I'm here in Lancashire.
How is Manchester? I was working in Capenhurst near Ellesmere Port South of the Mersey for a while - I like the folk there, and the Thai restaurant YUMMY! Thanks for your support!
Wow! Yes would be good, we will be travelling around a bit to show her and "Big mama" the sights - so may be we can meet en route top Scotland or somewhere... Chat on FB
Hi guys - hope you re keeping well, thanks for the support - we are hopeful for this week - if other results are anything to go by.
