With uncertain brexit looming overhead , a discussion with my partner was for her to maybe come here to the UK and work for a few years , I have looked around a little bit but haven't found anything solid to approach , there is obviously a demand for nursing but her experience is in fianance... she would love to find a job near me in Scotland but again this is a very new idea . Atm she's looking into agencies ... any ideas
It's not very easy for a Filipino to secure a working visa for the UK unless his/her profession is on the shortage list which is listed on the UKBA website. UK has been recruiting a lot of Filipino nurses lately, other than that, I don't know if companies here are willing to sponsor a Filipino to work in the UK.
I think you should first get your partner's qualifications assessed by UK Naric which you can then use to select suitable vacancies from professional publications such as The Banker or make application to employers such as PwC. I assume you are married (or about to be) as otherwise work visas are hard to obtain.
Yea I was kinda afraid of that ,,, on the other hand there may be hope once or if we finally leave , companies may need proffesionals with overseas experience
easiest is for her to apply for a fiancee visa--come over--get married--then apply for further leave to remain (FLR)---then she can work--and help replace the £ 1.000s it will have cost you as sponsor. you will need to thoroughly research the process--its all on this forum.
