I understand this is likely a very basic question. But I don't want to mess it up. I'm going to the Philippines in 6 weeks. And during 5 of those days me and my girlfriend's friend are going to a resort. Her friends I have set up.
With mine and my girlfriend's room, it only gives me the option to write 1 guest name. It says 2 guests but can only write 1. I wrote her name, I am the one paying for it, should I of wrote mine?
I've never booked a hotel before haha. First time we are meeting hehe.
    Thankyou 20171218_192859.png 20171218_193149.png

It doesnt matter whose name is in the booking as long as one of you is present when checking in. If you want for simplicity, put your name in it since you would be using your credit card to pay for it.

... and you will probably have to present your passport if it’s in your name.

Put it in your name - always - you'll find that some places treat the natives as 2nd class citizens compared to the kano - that's to say you'll often get served first even if it isn't your turn next - and they'll often treat you with far more respect and wish to avoid upsetting you etc.

And as above - passport required - I tend to avoid giving UK credit card* - but not such a problem for you - better to carry more than one if you're just here on holiday.

*As I've been here a while I use a prepaid BPI Peso credit card - for online and hotels etc

If travelling together, best to use your name as you are the lead traveller. If she will be arriving first then e-mail the hotel to let them know and to make sure there will be no problems.

Only time to book under her name would be if you are booking a room for her and are not travelling with her, or if you are arriving the next day. That way a printed booking conformation with her name on it would help for the hotel check-in.

I have always booked in my name , and yes they will ask for your passport .
They rarely ask for my gf name unless there is a specific reason .
Most hotels will not be bothered who you are with if you have booked a room as most are listed as for 2 persons .
Enjoy your new experience , I hope it goes great .

When they charge between 6 and 10K per night do you think they really care who books the room!!

Thankyou all for your replies, it's very helpful. I appreciate it. Now all I need to worry about is Heathrow airport and finding my way etc.

And yes Bigmac. Haha. Runs in the family.

Don't worry about Heathrow , although it's big , if you get the correct terminal that's printed on your e ticket , you are half way there .

Try to arrive 3 hours before flight time , or you will find a long queue in front of you .

Just look on flight information board for your flight time and number , and you will see the number of the check in zone and desk that you need to check in and get your boarding pass gate.

If going by car and you intend parking your car at Heathrow consider a meet and greet service.

Dont worry about heathrow. It should be very straight forward. Make sure you are in the right airport then the right terminal then you should be okay.

You should be more worried about arrival in ph. Have you discussed the logistics - will someone be meeting you (if yes, then good, if not, then how do you go about it?)

My girlfriend and her best friend are meeting me at the airport just outside. That's all sorted.
Oh another question tho haha. Sorry I'm very new to this..

How long would it take from when my plane lands to me getting out of the airport? I'm hoping someone will tell me less than 1 hour.

Which airport are you flying into ?

Should be less than an hour to get through any of them though. NAIA (Manila) will be the busiest by far, but quieter if you're arriving late at night.
