Hi all. Can you please tell me which English test will my wife need for a spouse visa? Also is there a test centre in Davao City? Also when applying for 2 children at the same time,do they have to apply separately, so 3 times cost. Children are 2 and 5. I’m mostly in Uk and family are in Philippines, so where is best to apply? Thanks
Your wife needs at least level A1 (IELTS LIFE SKILLS) for spouse visa but people now are going for B1 so they can use it again for renewing the visa. Test centres are only in Cebu and Manila. TB test is also required which is only taken in Manila. Th children can apply together with the mother with most documents can be shared but it will be treated as different application so that is 3 different payments. When it comes to applying you have the choice of handing ALL documents to Sheffield or having ALL documents scanned in the application center in the Philippines. Your wife will have to get an appointment to have her biometrics with her passport and application in either Cebu or Manila.
Thank you. A1 orB1 which is more difficult? I’m not sure which one because my wife’s English is not great.
B1 is more difficult. That is not required until 5 years later when going for ILR. She needs A1 initially, which is easier
Thank you very much. A lot to do. Final hearing of annulment tomorrow. I think it’s descion time. Only 2 years 1 month. Lol. In your experience would you apply for visas yourself or a lawyer. I have a bit of a way to go yet of course. Got to get married first. She may say No. Thanks again.
We used an immigration advisor for our fiancé visa, although I think you can do it yourself with help from this website.
If we get the visitor visa we are doing this in Manchester, there is no English test available in the Cayman Islands.
