Hi, im new here. I hope everyone is feeling ok.

In september me and my girlfriend are planning on her coming to the uk for 2 weeks. And i understand the tourist visa is tricky, so i am asking for help here in hopes that others who have been where we have can give advice which will make the situation easier.

    _______

I have a few questions, thankyou in advance for taking time to help us.

    As her sponsor:

1: Do i have to photocopy something(?) on my passport and birth certificate and get them certified by a solicitor and send it to her?

2: Do the bank statements and payslips i send have to be the original or can i photocopy them and maybe get them certified or something?

3: I live with my parents still (im 22) so do i have to get the title of property photocopied and certified?
How do i prove i still live with them as it is in their name?

4: Do i need anything from my employer?

5: I am also going to the philippines to spend 1 week with her and bring her back with me as we thought that me being the sponser at her side will make it easier. Thoughts?

6: i gave her 100k peso in feb to set up a business. Shes now got all her ID and her passport and her buisness starts early june. The buisness idea was for ties to the Philippines. She has nothing in her bank now. She recently set up bank book for bpi. Savings account i believe. Her brother will put 20k in for the next 4 months so when she applies for visa there will be 80k in. I'll get to the question now haha.

The way she tells it. You can only access this money from the bank there. So if this is to be used as evidence of money. How can this money be used in the uk if necessary so the migration people know she can get home or support herself if something happened (i will pay for it all)

7: do you recommend buying plane tickets before applying? Cheaper that way. Are they refundable?
    ______

Again. I really appreciate any help anyone can give me.

1/ and 2/ would be a good idea. 3/ get a letter from your parents 4/ number 2 should be enough. 5/ Won't do any harm but don't just go for a week. 6/ This is why people get rejected. No reason to go back. She needs to have proof that she has her own business 7/ hell no

Add things like what you are going to do, how it will be funded.

Thanks for the reply max. Appreciate it.
5: haha believe me i wish i could stay longer. I only have 3 weeks off work. If the visa is rejected i will stay for 3w. I just wanted her to see the UK also cos earlier this year in jan/feb i stayed in phil for 3 weeks. Best 3 weeks of my life.
6: she will have proof of that when she gets the documents for it. I hope its enough.

And thanks dude. Will write that in great detail

Hi welcome to the forum , just a few thoughts on your questions .

    1) Photo copy of your passport and birth certificate is good .
2 ) I sent original bank statement ( no payslips as retired ) , but I believe copies are accepted for visit visa .
    3) Get parents to write letter of invitation for your girl with their address at top , show copies of any bills (mobile phone etc) with your name and parents address .
    4) not necessary , and until visa granted you won't know which date to include .
    5) It might help , if you are with her on her journey to uk , if there are many questions asked at departure airport. Does she have any previous travel history ?
    6) Photo copy business permit , and any invoices etc to prove business is genuine .
she will still need to show enough money in bank , 80k should be ok for short visit .
Regarding her bank account , she will need to be able to have access to the money , while she is here . A MasterCard or Visa card with the account will allow access worldwide .
    7) definitely do NOT buy tickets until visa is approved , unless you can get a refund which is unlikely .

Photo copy photos of you both together , and with her family if possible .
Photo copy evidence of your chat / communication history ( whatsapp / messenger etc
Write sponsorship letter explaining that you will pay for everything .
Write itinerary of things you plan to do ,and places you intend to visit during her vacation .

Hope this helps , good luck .
