It's valid for 6months right, multiple entry?

 Not so sure. They chop and change so bloomin’ much. I know for a while, many were being dealt with at the Batttleship Building in Paddington, London. I think like you said, you need to check for each country you are considering.

Depends really. I have friend who was given 1 year multiple entry visa by France. Two weeks after her, I applied, I was only given 6 months. Some Embassy only give visa validity enough for your travel only. So 6 months is not fixed not like the UK where the standard is 6 months.

Yeah. Ours were both only for the duration of the holidays with only a few days extra at the end. They were pretty tight with the duration dates. :(

No. We didn’t need to after she gained citizenship and her British passport. We have finished with Schengen Shenanigans now.

I booked mine next week. But our passports are still at the passport office in Liverpool ( for my child's passport). Hopefully we get it this week so that cancellation will no longer be necessary. It would be interesting to find out how it goes in the BLS application centre.

There is an option to apply from edinburgh, scotland - for both TLS and BLS.

France is more generous on giving visa validity. They would usually give 1 year validity for your second time application. Spain usually would give you visa for your travel dates only every time you apply.

Just a quick question; Me and my partner are planning to go to Rome late this month on the same schengen visa we used to travel abroad a few moths ago.

However, she recently got a new passport with her name updated to update her surname. The filipino embassy took it upon themselves to change her middle name (To her previous surname).

Also, her schengen visa is in her old passport now has a different name on. Ive read online to take both passports as they are both valid, but i'm about to book the flights and i'm wondering which passport I should use to enter her details. EG:

(Old Passport, Has all her visas in)
    Name: Jane Doe
    Middle name: Jones

(New Passport, Has no visas in)
    Name: Jane Smith
    Middle Name: Doe

It seems we should just use her old passport for all purposes as it is still in date, but I was wondering if anybody else had to make this choice? And how did it go?

    Thanks for any help :)
