Good morning So we have just had my wifes visa application turned down They were hapy with everything but As most of you know my employer went bankrupt in the middle of the application The reason we was refused was i had over 12 months employment continous with more than one employer provided bank statements wage slips etc But they want a verified letter from each employer contracts of employment are not good enough so please be aware if you are about to apply i dont want anyone else going through the same heartache we are Also does anyone know if the nhs surcharge is automatically refunded to your card or do u have to apply to get it refunded Is it worth using an immigration lawyer as ive wasted 2.2k and want to make sure everything is 100% correct
Sorry to hear this Colin. I believe the NHS surcharge is automatically refunded but couldn’t tell you how long it takes to get a refund. Really hope you can get a positive decision the next time you apply. @PorkAdobo you May want to read Colin’s post.
Sorry to hear that. I don't recommend immig lawyer unless your case is really complicated. As @Mattecube have said in many threads, there is a checklist at the end of the app form. Please follow that. You can also post your list of evidences here for the other members to double check. Goodluck on your next app!
I dont think the NHS surcharge is automatic. Go on the site key in your number abd there is a button to request refund.
Big mac the job was ok bankruptcy no issue what we got rejected on mate was the fact i hadnt got a letter from the company confirming my role salary payday and if it was perm or temp seems abit bad we passed on everythinv else
It might be worth a punt like this. Go to CAB get them to write to your previous companies administrators requesting a letter in the required foremat and respond.
Could do but the company doesnt exsist anymore And i have no wageslios after it went bust And how long does an appeal take
Sorry to hear your sad news @Colin4000... I'm sure someone will enlighten me, but I can't understand what advantage an easily forged letter from an employer would have over payslips, P60, contract of employment etc? I was surprised to read on here yesterday that one application hadn't even included their P60, but was still approved... makes NO sense!
