Do you know anything about this 28 day rule? The visa application has to be submitted before 28 days from the last payslip?

Yes - all your financial documents should not be older than 28 days - specially your bank statement and cert of employment.

So for example, when we did my application, for example, our biometric was dated 10th of the month. My hubby went to his bank and asked for a stamped bank statement for the past 6 months on the 3rd of the month and the same with the Coe. He then sent the dox via dhl and arrived in ph on the 8th.

Now in your case, since you can send your uk pack to sheffield, you save some days in transit. What most people do now is request the documents close to appointment date and send it to Sheffield on the day of biometrics so its still within 28days.

If we apply online and complete biometrics etc ,give the form to VFS.

How many days do we have to get all the documents to Sheffield.

Do the docs have to be received by Sheffield within 28 days of last payslip or the application lodged at vfs within 28 days ?

What's the quickest way of sending documents to Sheffield from Cebu.

I think its 20 days though I am not sure why i think that. Just check that the courier will deliver to a PO Box in the UK. Fedex does not according to reports.

Of the various courier companies that operate in the Philippines, I would recommend FedEx whose local agent is 2Go which has shipping points throughout the Metro Cebu area and certainly in Ayala and SM malls. You will need to ascertain the full and correct physical street address as couriers can not deliver to PO Boxes.

The 28 day limit is in relation to the online application date. Its inflexible.

I thought the 28 day ruling was in respect of the last payslip? OK seems like we have more time than we thought.

It varies depending on whether being posted from within the UK or not. The Post Office is the best bet with Parcel Force or registered mail. From outside of the UK I think only Fedex does not do PO boxes

I just checked FedEx and DHL here in Cebu. None ship to a po box!!!

So pretty quick!! Not sure what date you use to calculate the turnaround time.

I would recommend paying for the email enquiry via the UKVI website. Unlimited emails to chase up your application!
