    Thanks

Hello, anything that I can send money from UK to Philippines using transfer wise or world remit, how does it works in the UK, and yes you are right, here in the Philippines there is cebuana or WU, also like in Dubai, all remittances center can send direct to bank account to philippines, so if ever i will register to World remit here in the Philippines and I have now access online, how and where will I put or deposit the money to send thru online remittance?

Yeah that's the problem, there are numerous short term lending shops, travel agency shops and Fx shops that also host a Western Union Service but sending via WU from the UK is very very expensive.

I don't know of any that offer any other kind of remittance service, most available money transfer and remittance services in the UK operate online and presuppose that you have some kind of mechanism to make online payments.

I suspect that WU is the only real alternative as they have a high street presence through other vendors.

My experience with World Remit has been really good .
My money transfers to Philippines go through in minutes , whether cash pick up at Cebuana , or direct into gf bank account .

They also took up my case ,when PNB managed to " lose" one of our transactions , after receiving it , and gave me my money back .

I asked them about sending money to myself or my gf whilst I was in Philiipines , and that was ok also, if they were notified beforehand , so they were aware of the reason that the transaction wasn't made in UK as usual .

Exchange rates , and fees are reasonable also .
A much better experience for me , than Western Union .

Recently my WolrdRemit transfers have gone through in seconds, long before they confirm by email, I have the target account open while I am doing the transfer as although it is not my account I am the one that manages it and I see the credit within 10 seconds.

Fx rates and fees are ok but there are better cheaper alternatives, however that instant transfer is worth paying for at least for me.

They are fine about transfers to self, in general they just like to know what dates you are travelling.

Yes I agree with that oss , instant transfer is great .

I tried Remitly once , and exchange rate was a bit higher than WR , but money never arrived until next day . That's not always a problem , but I do prefer the instant access to funds .

I instantly transferred for cash pick up using WU. Recent xfer £147.41 @ 68.3324 PHP with £1.90 cost.

I did it all from my mobile phone as well. I am not sure how competitive that is but its always been reliable

WU Fees will range from offer fees which can be very low to their more standard fees

    £4.90 for 50 pounds
    £9.90 for 100 pounds
£19.90 for anything from 101 to around 200 pounds

    and so on.

If they are doing 1.90 it will likely be part of a promotion for disaster relief, they did this before for the Philippines and at that time they were close to being the cheapest transfer company for the Phils they even kept it up for a year or more but eventually they went back to their full rates.

I went back to July and they are all £1.90 but they were higher earlier, upto about £4.90 in January so far

That's certainly lower than their historic average, you won't get rates from them like that sending to other countries.

Although I will say that I have just ran some samples and the rates vary dramatically country to country nothing as cheap as £1.90 though other than the Philippines.

Personally I hate WU with a vengeance here's a couple of examples from the past 13 years ago and 8 years ago, I only ever used them when I had no other choice.
