I have been involved with Engineers from all over the world, but not one yet has been from the Philippines. Everywhere but - almost.
I have recruited several Filipino engineers and and I can assure you that, in my experience, you will not be disappointed should you select one. I am talking in the fields of Broadcasting, Telecommunications and IT/Networking. In my experience, not only are they competent engineers, they are hard working, polite and generally good people.
My wife works in HR for Network R and says there are quite a few Filipinos employed with quite a few Filipinos applying (mainly in engineering). I have come across a couple of Filipino mechanical fitters recently and four machine operators where the later were husbands of nurses. Have a look at the Network R website, they have a portal for vacancies and employ over 30,000 people around the UK.
There's a local lad here near Liverpool his wife is a nurse in one of the local hospitals not sure which one, we got to know them in 2010, Chris works in the realm of electrical engineering I think, they have been here a long time, a long time prior to 2010, they were great friends for Ana when she was here in 2010, I took papers back over to Manila in 2010 so that Donna's mother could come over for a visit.
I just got my spouse visa and been applying for jobs for nearly two weeks. So far, no calls yet. I'm an accountant and has big 4 audit experience as well. How long did it take for you to find a job?
welcome to the site @Butterbeer --i had noticed your username on the who is online bit. interesting name--care to tell us about it ?
It's a famous drink in the Harry Potter series. HAHA! I've been using this username since high school. I finally knew what it tastes like when I went to the Warner Bros. Studios in Watford last 2017. How about you bigmac? Do you love McDonalds that much?
No she isn’t a visitor of the forum. Well like many things us foreigners discover in the Philippines, some things just stick in the mind. I guess mine, amongst others things was halo-halo though I suppose my username could well have been siopao or bibingka
Join a few reputable agencies, you wont have to pay any fees, like you do in Phills. https://www.reed.co.uk/jobs/reed-accountancy/p1309 http://www.hays.co.uk/job/accountancy-finance-jobs/ https://www.morganhunt.com/our-expertise/finance-accountancy-jobs Those are a few to register with, plus if you could find a couple that are local to you, Im sure you would find that the offers would begin to come in, Iv always thought finding work is actually a job in itself , good luck.
there will also be contract opportunities which will allow you to develop a UK CV. Its common for contracts to become permenant as well.
