    Guys,
We're in the process of completing a residential re-furb, and are probably going to rent it out.
As we only get back to Davao every 8-14 mnths, we're looking for a reliable agency to manage the property
..... collect & send on rent, sort out any minor problems etc etc

Anyone doing the same and can recommend or suggest some realty agencies ?

    Thks in advance

I know of only one truly reliable agent, Geof Thomas, a former RN submariner, but he's in Cebu City.

As far as I know these types of management companies do not exist here..I could be wrong!
Most people that I know that do that type of thing list their place for rent via Air BNB and use a trusted relative to sort out maintenance issues.
Of course..."Trusted relatives" can either be a blessing or a curse!

I know a very good real estate agent n Davao. He has managed all of our property and land purchase here in Davao. If you pm me I will share his details.

    Hello.

Can you also send me this agent's details? I'm trying to sell my property in Samal Island.

    Thanks.

It is, but my property is in an exclusive village by the sea and can't afford to build a house on the land. So would like to sell the land so I can have some emergency money should my family needs it. My dad is getting older and just wanted to plan/prepare for the inevitable.

Yep, makes sense. I hope you manage to sell the land.

I am not so sure. An undeveloped plot of land appreciates in value at a greater rate tban a bank deposit. Also an undeveloped plot is much easier to sell than one that already has a house built on it.

Unless Florge needs the money now, I'd advise her to sit tight and let the land appreciate in value.

I wasn’t aware of the appreciation of undeveloped plots.

She stated she wanted to plan for her father getting older. I guess it makes sense in so much as it may take a while to get rid of the plot.

Florge's plot is in an exclusive seaside location and it will appreciate at a faster rate than one without those advantages. Plots of that quality are usually quite easy to sell which I'd probably do online and to a western (American) audience.

Whereabouts David? We have family on Samal and we have also been to Pearl Farm resort a couple of times (a public beach on the northeast side of the island was better).

We bought 750 sqm in Canaan. It's on the eastern side. The water is cleaner there. Beaches on Davao Gulf side suffer from polluted water. In the process of getting permits from the PCA to chop down some coconut trees and get permission to develop, house build etc.

Sounds great David! You certainly don't want to be in the water on the west, Davao, side of the island:it is disgusting .

I had an enjoyable day at the Secdea Beach Resort last time I was on Samal.
