    Yes. The UK is the windiest place in Europe. And Scotland (or is it the Isle of Man) is the windiest place in the British Isle.

    I can vouch that one of my Scottish colleagues can generate enough wind, on his own, to fully power his beloved Aberdeen...

    I work in Great Yarmouth every two weeks or so and there is a significant offshore wind farm there. I think they look okay and they seem to be good for conservation in the long and medium term

    Our power needs to include risk spreading so all solutions play a part. Germany's nuclear ban puts them in hock to Russian gas too much. We should look at more potential energy storage solutions as well.
