Hi salford5, yes you will be restricted just now, however I think you can place images in your posts if you use this style of BB (Bulletin Board) syntax

Once you get past 15 posts all restrictions are lifted. Also I am pretty sure when you post pictures using the method oss described then it places that post into a moderation queue so don't worry if it is not visible for a while..

But after 15 posts, all restrictions will be lifted!

Ah I posted that option for a reason as I did not know if it did that when the poster was under 15 posts :) Useful to know for advising other newbies in future :)

Being restricted is a bit of a pain, but I can understand the reason why, I also didn't know, and also can't wait till I can post up some of my holiday photos of lovely Philippines and the people there.

Don't worry only 7 posts to go ;)

It's hard for guys that manage forums like this, one has to have some restrictions as the sheer amount of spam cannot be handled otherwise.

Yeah, sorry.. We get on average of 15 spammers trying to sign up a day! A few slip through the net so we have to manually delete their posts, otherwise this forum would be littered with some pretty bad links to stuff nobody is interested in.. And it is the Newbie rules that help us do that.
