Hello everyone. Im currently filling up online application(Settlement-VFS Manila ). Im bit confuse on the new process: Did anyone done or use the new system: PLS correct me if im wrong. The way I understand on submission of documents according to VFS site are 2 ways 1.do it yourself 2. Do it on the day of biometric appointment. 1. At which point I will ask to upload the supporting documents? 2. Can i just choose the VFS-Manila center to do the scanning instead of me doing I know there is fee involve? 3.And do I/Sponsor need to submit/scan again the supporting documents in UK if I will do the scanning in Manila. Iam the applicant. Thank you po.
1 read on here by another poster you are asked at the end after you have paid the fee 2 yes 3 no not if you have scanned every document you want to use as supporting information both from yourself and your sponsor
i must have missed that. non the less--a very helpful bulletin from vfs. makes the whole thing a lot less confusing. i think.
You commented on some post somewhere you will have to go to London for the next stage is there not a local scanning station nearer? Or will you try and upload yourself. We are lucky we have a walk in within 5 miles.
Once it all settles I think it will do well as a system. The only thing that puzzles me is how you know all scanning is complete and received
I think access UK is only if you are in the UK and looking to extend or change your visa I think it's replaced " online application service" I need to reread only skimmed it at weekend
Settlement Applications If you are applying for a settlement visa, there are two options for the submission of supporting documents: You can take your supporting documents to the Visa Application Centre when you attend your biometric enrolment appointment and they will be scanned free of charge. Your sponsor or an agent can submit supporting documents in the UK for a fee of £75 per application payable in cash or with a debit card. All supporting documents can be submitted by your sponsor or an agent at any of the following locations in the UK From 1 March 2019 1.London: 66 Wilson Street, London, EC2A 2BT 2.Birmingham: 5 -14 South Road, Smethwick, Birmingham, B67 7BN From 8 March 2019 Belfast: Merrion Business Centre, First Floor 58, Howard Street, Belfast, BT1 6PJ Leicester: C/O Peepul's Centre, Orchardson Avenue, Leicester, L E4 6DP From 15 March 2019 Cardiff: Temple Court – 13A Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9H Manchester: 50 Devonshire Street North, Manchester, M12 6JH Edinburgh: 1 Rennie’s Isle, Leith, Edinburgh, EH6 6QT Liverpool: SUITE NO 207,Second Floor, Graeme House, Derby Square, Liverpool, L2 7ZH Bradford: Skipton Chamber 16-18 North Parade, Bradford, BD13HT Your sponsor should bring a copy of your passport, along with your document checklist if you have applied via Access UK, or the first page of your visa application form if you have applied via visa4uk. Your sponsor should also provide all supporting documents, these will be scanned and handed back at the time of their visit.
so--summarising that lot--the settlement visa applicant can take all their documents with them to vfs and get them scanned free of charge whereas--if the sponsor submits the documents it incurs a £75 fee--and means a trip to one of the addresses above, none of which would have been any use to me--and would incur a lot of travel expenses and neat aggravation. so the postal submission of supporting docs has been thrown out the window ?
