I am on a low carb diet but not sure how I could face swallowing them.

Aren't oysters the only things we eat that are alive?
Shuck 'em and suck 'em !

I only like Oysters cooked, preferably gratinated. Bourbon Street is the place to go

Four of us arrived in N.O. in the 90's and went straight to "Pat O'Briens" bar in Bourbon Street and had three "Hurricane" cocktails each.
(recommended by an American friend of ours). We were a little worse for wear and tear a couple of hours later but had a fine time there.

Didn't find any noisy oysters though :)

what kind of noise annoys an oyster ?

a noisy noise annoys an oyster.

( just dont look as daft as it sounds )

it must have been a very brave man who first ate an oyster.. ( who said that ?)

There are things that I can admit to being brave for... but eating/swallowing oysters are not one of those amongst them....
That said..IF I had to do it for a really good cause then count me in!!
