are you already in the UK on a settlement visa ? i think the questions 1.8 to 1.17 are intended for elderly dependent relatives rather than children 2 points--is the childs father named on the birth certificate--and if yes--where is he ? a question UKVI is likely to ask--is why cant your mother contiue as guardian ?
Question 1 not relevant to you Question 2 is about what your sponsor hives to other dependents outside your relationship for example if he has children that are young from a previous marriage or relationship that he is giving financial support too
Good morning. Applying for child dependent for my step daughter (and spouse visa for her mother). We currently all live together in Manila (4 of us) and have done so for last 4 years- just to add context. I hope someone doesn't mind having a look at the following questions? 1.5 When did your relationship begin? Would this just be the same date as when we first met? 1.7 When did you last see your sponsor? Just the day of application? 1.20 and 1.21 Should I just complete giving details of her mother's and my marriage/relationship? Obviously leaving date of divorce 1.28 Is your sponsor responsible for supporting anyone financially, including any children listed above? Do Include my wife, daughter and step daughter here? I realise these all might sound like silly questions so I apologise in advance!
1.5 yes the day you met (some put the day they met on internet site I believe that the relationship does not start till you meet) 1.7 you live with her so put the application date 1.20 yes 1.28 they are looking for other dependants you may have across the globe that you financially support as well as daughter yes, wife no ( I didnt put my wife ) step daughter I would include although unless you have adopted her you are not legally responsible you want to further demonstrate you feel you have an obligation and a want to provide
1: 5. personally--i cant see how a relationship can start the day you met. just put a date you believe a genuine relationship started.
and when would that be? you were born on the day you were born not the day you realised you were born! A relationship starts at a level as you meet how that relationship forms is the passage of time!
so--if a couple have been in frequent and regular contact over a long distance by phone / internet etc but still to meet in person--they are not in a relationship ? but if they met each other the other night--as complete strangers--thats when the relation started --? cant agree with you there @Mattecube
Dìfferant people dìfferant viewpoints and down to readers to make a Call! However you and I are both old enough to remember penpals and I don't think either of us would dream of saying we were in relationships with them (admittedly communication has moved on) Again we are both old enough to asking girls to dance I certainly met my first wife this way I recall mum asking me once how long I had been seeing her" ? " I met her at the town hall disco and been seeing here since" that's when the relationship began As I say each to there own
