well i was divorced--twice in fact--in the UK--and it made no difference to my fiancee getting her cfo. i think she may have had a copy of my divorce certificate with her. the philippines dark ages catholic attitude to divorce only applies to its own citizens.

But were you previously married to a Filipina and was there a Report of Marriage to the Philippines Embassy?

You need to prove that you aren’t married or she won’t get the sticker.

Get the visa first ( you say you are applying for the visa next year) then show you are both not married to obtain cfo

I can prove that I was legally divorced in the UK and I am now single but my CENOMAR in the Philippines still shows i am married. Does that matter?

If neither of you are Filipino citizens it does not matter.( you and your ex-wife)

Thank you all for taking the time and trouble to reply to me.
I was rather hoping to find someone here who had experienced the same situation as me and what the outcome was..

Hello again. I thought it might be useful for others here if I update my fiancees experience at the cfo and my CENOMAR.
She attended the cfo seminar and had her interview. Although they wanted to see my CENOMAR which shows that I am married in the Philippines they accepted my UK divorce decree as evidence that I am free to marry in the uk.
She received her cfo attendance certificate and once she has her UK Visa will return to the cf o for the sticker in her passport.
So it seems for a British Citizen a CENOMAR showing that you are still considered married in the Philippines is not a hinderence to a Filipina fiancee obtaining a cfo sticker.
