Again, just for clarity, I want to know how people would react if a girl born in Bangladesh, radicalised in Bangladeshi mosques and who joined a terrorist group in a 3rd country, what would the reaction be if Bangladesh removed that person’s citizenship and said she will have to go to Britain instead. Would you give Bangladesh a big “attaboy” pat on the back? If you do not approve of Bangladesh dumping their problem citizens on British shores, you have no right to celebrate this decision. If you thinking it’s ok for Bangladesh to dump their criminals here, you clearly have no respect for Britain.
Agreed to an extent. I don’t think Britain should necessarily be helping its citizens to get out of Syria. However, in the event that the Syrian government gains full control of its territory (which it will soon enough) and decides there are too many foreigners to either keep in jail or execute, do you suggest that Syria must keep this girl who they did not invite, did not grant a visa and entered the country illegally?
There you go....... Rightly or wrongly, the seed of doubt will always be lodged in my mind, I could not be able to fully trust such a person anywhere near me or mine. Or even in the same town. Or even Nation......... How do I know that she hasn't killed or maimed anybody?? She made her choice, nobody forced her or the other two silly bats that left the UK with her. She chose to be an enemy of the state, now she must live with the consequences of her betrayal.
Lot of illegalities there, yup, imprison her in Syria for sneaking in illegally, joining a terror group, hopefully she gets a decent sentence, then cross the WTF do we do now bridge when we come to it in 10 years or however long her sentence is
Please god, no. I can’t be arsed arguing the toss over this with you for another 10 years. It’s worse than the Brexit threads and your countdown to self harm clocks.
Is anyone celebrating the decision, or are they for once celebrating the fact the UKGOV have grown a pair,no hang on lets celebrate both, yes? This guy should go join her also https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-51415001
So you would support Bangladesh and other nations if they exported their problem citizens to the UK? Don’t know this guy’s personal info. If he is a dual national who acquired British citizenship through visa/immigration processes, then yes I’d happily support taking away his British citizenship and deporting him back to his birth country.
Arguing?Debating you mean surely old chap I have a history of being on the winning side,Brexit,Conservatives,i think shamima is going to make it a hat trick
Hmm don't know about that. When you change your position every week, you're bound up get it right eventually. I remember you being cocksure that Brexit was going to happen in October, despite it being clear to everyone else that it wasn't! Fwiw, I also predicted Conservatives. If The True Master of Brexit (Corbyn) didn't acquiesce to de Pfeffel Johnson's election request, the overall state of Brexit would be much less clear.
I never changed my position,it was always Brexit was going to happen, the actual date was beyond my control, but the process has begun as for miss begum, her hubbie is dutch, maybe she can don cloggs and live amongst the tulips i know the battle isn't won,but she just lost the first round
you take my response out of context by only pasting my response then asking a further question see post 331 You.....So you would support Bangladesh and other nations if they exported their problem citizens to the UK? Me .....I have always worked on forming a view by looking at individual cases as they arise,so when the scenario you mention arises we can debate it! So for me the debate is over let her stay put, I wish her only a life
you appear to want to turn this thread into yourpet subject of why you think it was right for Brexit to happen!
I don't know why we debating this "ad nauseam". The woman, as the judges said, should not have her British citizenship re-instated for the reasons stated in their findings. She has appeals to go through yet. If they go against her, then so be it. If not, well, though for the rest of us as we may all be targets. If she is allowed to come back and something happened due to this fact, who is going to take the blame??? Put it down to "lessons learned"..?? better safe than sorry End of.
Because it's the internet and there's a certain inevitability when Bangladesh either refuses her citizenship request or we give them a great big pot of money as "development aid" Much better she does something terrible in Bangladesh, I suppose. If the girl is dangerous, Britain - a wealthy developed nation- is far better equipped to deal with the girl than some impoverished 3rd would country.
au contraire,if she is dangerous Bangladesh is far better equipped to deal with her,its called a rope. She relinquished all rights to live in a wealthy developed nation and the comforts it affords by leaving it to join its enemies,we owe her nothing
