I tried it above and it didn't work the link works though as I say in the previous post I could do this with a bit of work but iframes are html and can be dangerous as they can get hijacked.

You can post a link to any page, if the link happens to be a youtube video or the likes the site is smart enough to wrap it in some html to allow it to be embedded but that specific link does not identify the file type so I am guessing there is some javascript trickery to get it to run.

So we should be allowing American travellers into the UK at this point in time, from the USA a country where the virus is spreading freely pretty much unchecked at this point.

Probably John, I wouldn't know where to start to embed such a video but I expect that a standard link would work as with any other video source.

I didn't say that at all! Did I? No. Having read the piece it could be better headlined in my view but CNN want it to reflect on Trump

The link mentions trump ONCE in the context detailed in this quote below.

What part of that article reflects on Trump apart from that?

    ONCE!
Clearly I read the article different to you!
I guess that's what makes the world go around.

The word 'President' is used ONCE outside the paragraph I already quoted, see this quote.

The 'White House' is mentioned ONCE in the article.

So where is the CNN bias you are suggesting.

I don't understand why in your original reply to me you capitalised the word once, I am aware how many times the word Trump is used equally how many times the White House is mentioned.
The bias I refer to is in the last paragraph you quote, I read that one way you will read it another.
As I said also the title could be better worded as perhaps the use of " worldwide" would of been less provocative.

I could not believe that anyone could find that article biased against Trump based on a single mention of his name in a context that did not support the accusation of bias.

And that last sentence is a quote of EU officials who basically are saying they don't think the US will care much as their own travel ban is even stronger than the proposed EU ban, how is that biased, they are reporting what the EU officials said.

This is the international edition of the CNN Politics page speaking to an international audience, the fact that the USA has an out of control epidemic is rather relevant as they don't meet the criteria published by the EU on the 11th of June as mentioned in the article.

I see no bias or provocation in this news item at all, it is a pretty straight forward piece of reporting, it does not point the finger at Trump it stresses that this is based on criteria drawn up by the EU which apply to travel to the EU.

And yes my words "the USA has an out of control epidemic" because it does and anyone with eyes and ears can see that.

I realise you have a US holiday booked but I would strongly advise you to check your travel insurance to see if you or any member of your family will be covered in the event you contract the illness over there.

If they don't do anything to deal with the spread they will be in a really bad way in a couple of months and it certainly looks like they have no plans to do anything other than ignore it for the rest of the year.

The good of any forum is that it entitles all contributors to have an opinion regardless of if the consensus or individual agrees or disagrees as long as that view is within the guidelines of expression of the forum.

I am not sure why you brought up the subject of my families holiday to the USA or the fact of holiday insurance.
As a point a few months ago the subject of covid and holiday insurance was bought up and I copied and pasted what the Nationwide was advising it's members (me being one) so I am and have been for a very long time aware of the implications of going against their advice.

As a footnote on holidays we took the steps of using booking.com,book now cancel free by a certain date facility as a) we didn't know how covid was going to pan out and b) we needed an initial travel time frame for our friends to start making their own plans to accommodate our plans.
Clearly they are taking a beating at the moment but a delay will only be an irritation Californian weather is pretty dammed good all year round I am told.

Of the two main Covid threads this one deals mostly with international Covid related issues, if the US is allowing people in at that point there is a good chance that you would have to quarantine after getting back or optionally you might find the UK follows the EU and won't allow people back, or maybe won't allow travel to the USA to start with, it seemed prudent to mention it again.

And yes you are fully entitled to your opinion, my original comment was "good we should be doing the same" not a mention of Trump, I firmly believe that for the safety of our citizens that travel in any form or via any route from the USA at this point in time should be banned by the UK, will it be, probably not.
