One of the most fantastic cities on the face of the planet, Bigmac is secretly getting excited at the thought of treading the same pavements as Mary Poppins, dick Whittington and Samuel pepys, history is made on these streets :)

Friend of mine took her LITUK down in Portsmouth Malc, but you could always venture up to the smoke with your missus if you want to see what London looks like during lockdown ;), go on you know you want to..

London during lockdown is fantastic, no tourists flocking in to spoil the place, what better time to spend a day in the city

what happens if an applicant simply cant pass the LITUK tests--after repeated attempts ?

in my wifes case--she could speak english as a second language for years before she came to the UK---and she has lived here 9 years now altogether. But she still finds the test questions difficult--and i'm even worse! She holds down a very demanding job.

I just cant get my head around the idea she could be on a plane home because she dont know how many of Henry VIII wives were executed.--and other similar totally irrelevant questions to life in the UK--in 2021.

I think you go down the 10 year route!

She'll pass! Have faith, but it will require going through the book a million times.. but thankfully it'll come from memory rather than knowledge eventually!

Do what my wife did. Go through the book with a highlighter pen and highlight whatever comes up in the sample tests, then read the highlighted parts over and over and keep doing the samples.

I have no problem with the test itself, but I do think it should be for Citizenship rather than ILR.

I'm sure she'll get there in the end, but she definitely needs to use the book.

This is the book she needs to use. Ignore any others.
