Counting calories is becoming part of history. There is absolutely no need to count calories. Unless of course it keeps people entertained.
Meantime. No calorie counting in this house. Mrs Ash is slowly but surely losing weight / burning fat.
I stopped counting calories, Bigmac will only say I can put them back on by looking at a plate of chips (I don't eat chips nowadays) but the daily walk is still enjoyable
I'm still on my strict keto diet. My breakfast. 3 eggs with cheddar cheese, Lunch, salad and olives with mayo. Diner, Tuna/fish or chicken or meat with mixed veg, Snacks nuts. Got no scales (Broke). Night time beverage. Gin. No more beer. Forgot to mention. Drinking lots of water during the day. And I have made some fat bombs. Cream cheese, Butter, coco powder, coconut oil, sweetener.
Fat bombs. Mrs Ash has been making them with cream (Philadelphia) cheese, cocoa powder and sweetener.
You seem to be doing well. You seem to have got your head around it all. Fatty liver disease. It’s not seen on the surface. Your dietary intervention will help a lot. This is pretty useful too : https://www.dietdoctor.com/how-fat-is-your-liver
Food as Medicine. Seems a bit odd doesn’t it. We are so used to going to the doctor and expecting a prescription for a tablet or other drug. What we do often really need is good food.
You still walking John, I had chicken curry earlier, small plate quit rice totally, 3 bits of multi grain toast and a few cups of tea, my stamina is still OK
No. I stopped 3 weeks ago, owing to home schooling. I have been glad to give my feet a rest. But could still do with the exercise.
We went up Mount Talinis yesterday, drove mostly as far the path could go. Then hiked up the rest of the way, not to the summit but high enough. It was like half jungle with foot-paths that went in all directions that the locals use. Wife's friends come with us too and went to there house. What a great view, I could see Dumaguete City and the sea. Cebu island in the distance. We couldn't see the peak of the volcano because of the mist. First time I'v been that far up the mountain, great experience and to see how the mountain people live. Good exercise for my keto diet, thought I would be sore today but I'm not. Must have been all the fat bombs.
It surprised me Jim, watching a vlog where they could see across to Negros from Cebu. I assumed the neighbouring island would be too far away.
I took a photo of the view of the City and Cebu, not very clear but you can see Cebu in the distance. Dumaguete to Santander ( Cebu) are only a 20 minuet boat ride away. won't let me upload, image too large!
I remember years ago doing a bus trip from cebu-dumaguete years ago, the ferry was from liloan I think?
Well Mrs Ash is continuing her low carb way of eating. She is never hungry. And is losing a couple of kilo every 3 or 4 weeks. Slow but steady. We took her blood pressure reading the other day and it was good. Spot on. So no hypertension. Just needs to shed a few kilo which she is doing. Her sister who is a few years older and nearing 40, in the Philippines, is also overweight now. And has raised blood pressure. Mrs Ash is explaining to her how to reverse that. On a slightly different note she had a Covid 19 lateral flow test today at work. Administered by the army! Result instantly. Text confirmation in 10 minutes. Negative. Didn’t like the swab up the nose.
Still on my keto diet, My scales broke a few years ago and never got round to replacing them. But I did notice I had to go up a few holes on my belt and my shorts have got bigger Found a German store that makes and sells Bacon, bratwurst, Salami and other good stuff. Much better quality than the Pinoy food.
