You know Heathen they are doing bubbles and I spoke to my GP about it - and my wife was then offered the vaccine. I am vulnerable having had a TIA recently, being Obese and with Hypertension. My business partner who stays with us has Crohns, is very obese is also at risk.
We have some friends and his wife is disabled - so they vaccinated his whole family including children.

Had Oxford Astra-Zeneca #1 this morning:

Side effects that occurred during clinical trials with COVID 19 Vaccine AstraZeneca were as follows:

Very Common (may affect more than 1 in 10 people)
    • tenderness, pain, warmth, itching or bruising where the injection is given
    • generally feeling unwell
    • feeling tired (fatigue)
    • chills or feeling feverish
    • headache
    • feeling sick (nausea)
    • joint pain or muscle ache

    My symptoms (in bold)

Feeling listless with no energy so I'm going to bed with my coat on.

I will have my vaccine tomorrow, I am not sure if they will give me the same. :like:

My adopted daughter said she felt unwell after the vaccine, felt tenderness where the injection is given. :(
My husband said he felt overfatigued so slept for 6 hours nap instead of 1 hour. ;)
My BestFriend said, she just felt dizzy and thought because she is on holiday so she doesn’t want to do much just generally feeling lazy! :D
    They all had AstraZeneca.

A Philippine friend who had 1st Astra Zeneca jab about 6 weeks ago with some side effects experienced, has now had a Covid-19 test reporting positive after experiencing symptoms that have so far kept coming and going of lesser magnitude compared with 1st vaccine side effects.

If you were to ask me, I don’t really like to hear any hearsay, especially if it is not officially mentioned in any news globally. These kind of rumors will put people in doubt to cooperate with the government who are trying to save many peoples lives. So if anyone doesn’t want to have their vaccine done, please do not plant doubt to other people. As if we don’t trust all the professionals trying to save everyones lives we are not helping them to end this pandemic.

This isn't hear say or rumours, but actual incident and proves what has been reported.
People shouldn't think that once the 1st shot of vaccine has been received (or even 2nd shot), that you are fully immune and life can go on as normal (I've seen a lot more older people about and less social distancing lately).

It does prove that having received the vaccine it certainly reduces the effect of the virus.

Yes you are not fully protected, although the Oxford Astra Zeneca vaccine has been reported to do exactly what you describe, protect people from severe Covid and hospitalisation.

Also important to note that the AZ can have as little as 10% efficacy against the South African variant, the mutation involves a configuration of the spike protein that changes the polarity of a bonding site and makes it much harder for antibodies to latch on and neutralise individual virus particles.

What should also be noted is that it is thought that the second dose provides a greater stimulus to the innate immune system the T-Cell Lymphocyte system which makes you better able to seek and destroy infected cells whatever the variant that infected you.

There is also word of a Universal Coronavirus vaccine entering trials later this year this would protect against far more than just SARS-CoV-2 but also MERS and SARS-CoV and these four common Coronaviruses 229E, NL63, OC43, and HKU1 that infect people all over the world every year and can often be mistaken for Flu.

It just goes to show that until people have both injections of the vaccine and then wait two weeks after, nobody is completely safe against infection of Covid-19 o_O
We all keep our fingers and toes crossed that we are all safe.

My sister, who was a previously a staff nurse then lead health visitor, told me I could take paracetamol after the jab but it is not advised.
I felt pretty sh&t$y but didn't take one and now feel as right as rain again :like:
Mindyou, I did feel pretty bad on the same night as I had the injection as I was hot and cold and couldn't sleep (normal for me these days).
I felt incapable of doing anything that first night and had very silly, illogical thoughts trying to drop off to sleep.

    Let's hope so.
All the people who have felt isolated and lonely without anyone to talk to will be so much happier.

You are not completely safe after two doses either, just much less likely to die and much less likely to pass it on.
