    We use Sky scanner also.
Set your pc to incognito so they don't put up the price if they know you are looking and keep revisiting their site.

It'll help yes but they also track the source IP Address and "In Private" and "Incognito" won't protect you from that, most people don't have static IP's but usually your routers lease will retain an IP address for a week or two or longer until the ISP expires the lease or forces a reboot of your router.

You can force a new IP DHCP lease by restarting your router it will be rare that you get the exact same IP a second time.

edit: and although it started life as a Scottish company you need to remember it is now owned by the Chinese and I suspect they are very sneaky in terms of tracking and profiling technology now :D

top of the screen where you type in the web address you are looking for, in the top right hand corner there are 3 vertical dots click on that you will see the option new incognito window use that, we use it when booking things and find prices dont vary regardless how many times we visit the site whereas they alter slightly normally upwards when you do it in a standard screen

Computer technology is trivial compared to the challenges of biomedical engineering :D like the Russians China has a lot of top notch software engineers and it's not like tracking is a complicated science but the state of the art in genetic engineering is nowhere near close to being able to support the engineered virus notion.

Whilst I use sites like SkyScanner to search for flights, I always book direct with the airline. Much easier to sort out if there any problems. Often the price difference is very little.

Another (better) way is to simply use a VPN. There are free ones out there :)

Wouldn't help if the web server owners are using Browser Fingerprinting, I admit that in the case of SkyScanner they probably are not.

VPN's are fine but most providers of services on the web will have a good idea that a VPN is in use, as an example if someone is trying to use a VPN to sign up to British-Filipino we won't let them sign up.

Also while legit VPN companies try to sell you on the idea that using services like banks over a VPN is safer that's really nonsense, all end to end traffic including authentication to remote endpoints is fully encrypted by all major websites these days and yes it is true we aren't protected by a certificate but we are not selling anything or advertising.

Using a free VPN, from who knows where, you won't know if your packet traffic is being logged for later decryption on a distributed botnet, some of the VPN's from known companies like some of the anti virus companies might be quite good but one of the main nefarious use cases for VPN's is to pretend you are in the UK or another country so as to watch services like Netflix or Prime Video or even BBC iPlayer and if you are using one that has a limited range of subnets for the IP Address those services will probably know what you are doing.
