Never burn bridges, you might just want to walk back across them some day ;)

Yes! This is why I would rather be here in the UK than living in the Philippines. I also have medical conditions and I can never be without any medications. :(

looking on the positive side..advances in treatment in recent years have made great strides. My mother developed skin cancer in the 1970's, eventually opting for major life saving surgery. She lived on till 1998. Just before she died--my dad was diagnosed with bowel cancel..which was treated very quickly. He lived on till 2016 !--aged 94.

One of the less thought about issues of the pandemic is that COVID has brought back the spectre of early death as a side effect of the cancer treatment, cancer patients who have to be on long term medication can be immunocompromised by that medication and thus have their life and freedom seriously curtailed as a result of trying to avoid COVID, not all cancer patients are in this position but I know one young lassie in Scotland right now who had a terminal diagnosis about 4 years ago and who is on constant medication and is seriously at risk from COVID as a result.

Thanks Druk1! Let’s hope we all have a long life! My mother-in-law is now 95, still alive and kicking still very racist and have destroyed my family! :frust:

Take her on holiday to Dignitas, it might sound a little like Disney if you say it quickly and she is a tad deaf, she might get quite excited at the prospects of the trip :)
