    As an example,when you are a gambler and a drunkard,most likely you can not support your family, and with that,you are liable for not providing the needs of your wife and children,in effect...you can be charged if your wife and children will complain legally.
    And do you know that most VAWC cases aren't bailable?

    I have honestly never known any filipina or her child complain to the law about lackadaisical husbands, otherwise the jails would be bursting more than they are, but what about the violent chickens?

    Oh yeah? Think you need to get some updates because this law isn't really new but it is significantly observed now in Pinas ,but just to give you a heads up,you may watch "Erwin TULFO's show ".just so you will have an idea ,what i am talking about.:)

    Yes @oss I saw your reply but I thought the poster was talking about herself? I feel sure you would agree that whether children are involved is irrelevant to whether she is herself entitled to maintenance?

    Additionally, although you are correct in that technically a wife could obtain a court order against her husband for child maintenance whilst still married, it would be highly unusual and hardly predicts a happy marriage. So I don't feel this is particularly relevant to the OP situation as I understood it...

    My initial reply was actually a negative, a bit of a programmers negative in p-code :D if (kidsAreInvolved) youHaveOptions = true; else notMuchChance =true;

    Yes I do agree she was talking about herself, my second paragraph was the negative part of the answer to her.

    Regards child maintenance while still married you have to remember that there is no divorce in the Phils so that is not such an unusual circumstance, indeed it is really quite common.

    The problem is that only the relatively wealthy in the Phils can afford to take court action so most of the bums that runaway from their kids never pay a penny.

    Outside already having children this lady has little hope of getting anything from this man.

    Sometimes not all issues can be talked about in the public. I sometimes chose to have a quick chat with someone like YOU at some point, because I just need to voice it out. Sometimes some people just want to have someone to talk to and have listener! It doesn’t need to be in a public forum. ;) If you know what I’m saying! :blackeye:

    I've heard and responded privately to many heart rending stories here Mystica even before Sean made me an Admin here, you are right sometimes people just need to voice out and I completely understand that.
