No, haven't had chow noodle, John.
My wife loves Thai green curry and we both ate it in Thailand like it was going out of style.
She did say that she preferred Thai food over Filipino food when when we stopped off in Bangkok/Krabi en-route to the UK many moons ago.

I have Thai Chefs and restaurant owners in the family, and filipinas, I don't know one pinay who thinks pinoy food beats Thai, that's why there are so few Philippine restaurants in the UK and so many Thai.

The Indonesians and Filipinos should up their game
I really like Indonesian food , Vietnamese food and the Filipino food that is influenced by the Chinese.
Vietnamese food (in Vietnam) seemed to feature lots of fresh vegetables and was light on the stomach.

Lots of Indonesian restaurants in Holland for obvious reasons, I have been all over Asia many times and always ranked filipino as one of if not the worst food, Thai is at the top.

I've been once about 5 or 6 years ago to one in the Braehead shopping centre I was with my daughter and her mum out for a day at Christmas, Braehead is nice but I was not terribly impressed with Nando's itself and we got it wrong as to how their service or self service system worked, it wasn't obvious :)

I would not deliberately choose to go back, there are only a few places where I would deliberately want to eat out now and most of them are in the Philippines, Colin Mackay's Sala restaurant in Makati and his People's Palace (Thai) restaurant next door only ever had a couple of glasses of wine there but the best wine I've ever had in the Philippines.

There are a couple of Indian restaurants in Glasgow (the home of the real People's Palace) that I would still visit one of them on Paisley Road West near Ibrox :)

i rarely eat out these days. last time we did ( other than a mc dees junk fix) it was my wifes treat for 4 of us at a local thai restaurant. Service took forever food was so unmemorable i cant remember what i had. All i remember was the bill she paid-i thought it was her mobile phone number.

    Ouch
I have steered clear of Thai restaurants in the UK because of the cost.
I have kids and cannot justify the prices when I look at the menu, but.....I often wonder if I am not just spoiled because Thai food was so reasonably priced in Thailand.
Truth be told, if I was single again without young children I would probably try UK restaurant Thai food.

The best meal I've had in a restaurant in the UK in the last ten years was at a Greek restaurant on the Wirral - Moreton or Wallasey, can't remember. It was so reasonably priced. There was so much food and the wine went down a treat, mainly because of the friends we had at the table. Think the restaurant closed down though.

The best Thai food I have had in UK, without a hint of bias, was in my sisters ex husbands restaurant, Prince Harry and cliff Richard both ate there, sadly closed now, planning permission to turn it into flats.
Ivy Asia, incredible food, total assault on the senses from walking in to walking out.

We go to a local all you can eat place a lot. Buffet type arrangement with a broad range of food types served under the one roof. It means that my picky 8 yo can have what she likes, which isn’t what we like. And Mrs Ash doesn’t like curry. So each of finds what we want. As it’s a buffet myself and the Mrs can leave out the rice, spuds, pasta etc and stick to the meats and veggies.

A relative of Mrs Ash is a chef in Ibitha. I think he specialises in seafood, so she tells me. He and his family live there all year round.

Yes, my nephews dad and sisters opened two restaurants in the UK, both did exceptionally well till they moved into property.
