That generation of laptop I am pretty sure have the licence key for Windows buried in the ROM, in other words you can reinstall it and activate it from the hardware.

Windows 10 has a couple of refresh options one is to fully reset and the other is to reset but keep your own files., it's basically the same as a reinstall but should not need the reactivation of Windows.

How much disk space have you got available on your SSD?

This is the setting page just search for Reset.

I just checked, the Windows licence is in the BIOS ROM on a T460, reinstallation or alternatively a refresh as I describe above is simple.

The kids pc is a Lenovo desktop, Jim. The T460 is my one ;)
I will check your instructions on the desktop soon.

Yeah I understood that this was your laptop, be careful doing a reset it is not something I would do often, but I have considered it on one of my machines however on the W520 I am nervous as I currently have supported device drivers for the graphics card in the laptop but I might not have that support after a refresh, your T460 is much less likely to have problems.

Hmmm... if you have kids and they play games better to get a desk top, not an xbox or similar, there's no proper repair and service options here for them...

Did you get a docking station for your E14?

To be honest, I haven't really looked for one.

Just did a quick search, they seem really expensive for my E14 Gen 2, cheapest I could find was £99 from Lenovo UK website, but I'm sure there are others out there.

I went for the full reset on the children's Lenovo desktop (not keeping any files) and everything looks good at the moment, Jim, thanks :like:. My daughter is installing "Fortnite" at the moment so I will turn the pc off soon to see if the start-up time is better than the 20 mins it took before :lol:Thanks again, mate.

Does the kids PC have a spinning hard drive rather than an SSD?

I am guessing it does if the start-up times were like that?

Yes, I will look at a SSD in the next few months.

Looks like it's had it, wouldn't boot up at all so I took for a repair, got it back after a week they only cleaned it lol.
Tried to boot the thing up this morning, kept getting a message repair or something like that. Took it back to the repair shop and tried to explain why it won't boot up.
So now looking to buy a budget laptop.
    Any recommendations gladly appreciate,. :)
