I received a very unexpected email today saying my citizenship is approved. I’m still in shock but absolutely grateful it’s over and done with. I only applied on the 14th of June so for it to be approved today is really unexpected. Safe to say my friend who applied at the end of April was not most pleased, they were pleased for me but not with the Home Office That’s my visa journey finally over. Can’t wait to get hold of that coveted British passport
well done mate--that was quick--my wife's took 7 weeks--which was twice as quick as i thought it would be. Got the email this morning.
A colleauge in the office told me a few days ago that he and his girlfriend applied for renewals and were told 10 weeks however both of their passports arrived within a fortnight.
Have you got to book the ceremony yourself ?..only in our case the council phoned my wife to tell her its on the 26th of this month..if its ok for her. They got email from ukvi a week ago..! Thats how we first found out.
On my email it says I have to call the council and arrange a ceremony so I will call them on Monday and see what they say. Congratulations by the way for you and your wife
Just shows how inaccurate the media can be when trying to whip up hysteria. Ours took about 8 but that wasn’t a renewal.
He's just booked a couple of weeks off as a result when a few days earlier he had no plans, I currently have to process holiday requests. I suspect there are real problems, I was reading a Liverpool Echo article about people coming from all over the country to Liverpool to do in person renewals due to huge delays, so I beleive the delays are real, I think for some it is luck of the draw just now.
Congratulations and well done, Brom27. You have been persevering with your visa/citizenship and now the passport is the last thing. Excellent.
WOW congrats! im on it with mine now as my Filipino passport is running out and my permit is valid until 2023! What are the requirements you have given? HELP lol.
