I cannot dive HGV's for 6 weeks, bigmac, so that is OK.
My days of doing 60 hours/week are over now, though.

Maybe look at something a little less stressful mate,health is wealth.

i couldnt drive a car for 6 weeks--i would have thought your days driving HGV are now over.

I will still keep my hand in but do a lot less hours.
It is always useful to be able to drive the big ones for a bit of money and I found it strange to not work after 50 years of being at the sharp end.
Having said that bigmac, I will take easier work and get out if the job is too demanding or the hours are too long.
There are less demanding HGV jobs out there and I won't put up with any S&)t from now on.

when i had my heart attack i had been made redundant 5 months before--and was frantic trying to get another job. I was signed off on incapacity benefit--and a year later it became long term. By then--the chances of getting another job at 50 was less than zero. I had regular medicals by department doctors--initially every year--then 2 years--till i reached 60 and was treated as retired. But i understand it became a lot tougher now--youre either fit to work --or dead.

Got a very excited face-time earlier, courier had just dropped two passports off, they called me as they were opening their envelopes, passports with Canadian visas,the brain-drain continues.
