That was a CT coronary angiogram you had, the big machine with the loop, Computed Tomography a very fancy modern x-ray.

I had a couple of those about 7 years ago in relation to my backside problem the rush of the contrast dye is quite unpleasant and yeah you can feel it work its way all around your body it's an internal introspective exploration I could have done without :)

I prefer the MRI scans which are purely magnetic scans but each has its specialist use and MRI is better at seeing the detail in tissue fluids which is ultimately why my more recent scans were MRI as I had internal abcesses, the contrast dye in the CT scan is looking to give them a 3D view of the blood vessels supplying the heart muscle itself and I beleive is more detailed than a similar MRI would be and it is certainly a lot safer than a catheter angiography.

Good to hear that you are home Mike.

I cannot dive HGV's for 6 weeks, bigmac, so that is OK.
My days of doing 60 hours/week are over now, though.

I will still keep my hand in but do a lot less hours.
It is always useful to be able to drive the big ones for a bit of money and I found it strange to not work after 50 years of being at the sharp end.
Having said that bigmac, I will take easier work and get out if the job is too demanding or the hours are too long.
There are less demanding HGV jobs out there and I won't put up with any S&)t from now on.

when i had my heart attack i had been made redundant 5 months before--and was frantic trying to get another job. I was signed off on incapacity benefit--and a year later it became long term. By then--the chances of getting another job at 50 was less than zero. I had regular medicals by department doctors--initially every year--then 2 years--till i reached 60 and was treated as retired. But i understand it became a lot tougher now--youre either fit to work --or dead.
