I miss Scotland. I came to love the country so much that I hope to visit beautiful Scotland again soon.... Just some of the pics from Scotland
I spent 6 years up there in Aberdeen. But prior to that I spent years travelling back and forward through it and through the rest of Scotland to get to it. Some great scenery. But the football aint so good. I took my daughter to Glasgow some years ago to see the Charles Rennie Mackintosh stuff and the Glasgow School of Art. His wife was a great artist too and some of their stuff is in the Kelvin Grove museum. My ex wife and her family are Scottish. And my employer's main office is in Scotland too. On a clearer day one can see the southwest tip of Scotland, from here in the Isle of Man, as it is the closest part of the UK to us.
Nice pictures...... that reminds me............. Got to get Penny back here and posting................
Really cool Majah to see your pictures there, Glasgow is a great city and I miss the place a lot too. Long time ago I took my good friend Segundo Cadainggan to the Horseshoe bar just off Renfield street then we went on to the Victoria Bar down the Briggait, he loved the place we had a bunch of musicians sitting in the corner, just customers not anyone that was booked, all absolutely brilliant, Seg looked at me incredulously when I explained that they were not getting paid they were just doing it for fun All traditional Celtic (pronounced Keltic) music. In the Horseshoe bar Then in the Victoria bar
I also used to visit Paisley and the Barrowlands quite a lot. In Paisley there was or maybe still is an auction house where me and the ex wife would buy semi antique stuff and take it back down to Manchester and sell it. The same at the Barrowlands which was a massive 2nd hand market.
When Seg was over in 2006 I also took him round Loch Lomond, as well as a long run with some of my car club pals round the mountains in the middle of Scotland It is well worth getting up into the mountains and getting to the coast as well, I hope you manage to get back Majah! Scotland is certainly a beautiful place as are many parts of England too. Seg took this one , he did a lot of great photos that day.
I think you mean the place down Storie Street, either that or what seems to be called Weighthouse close now, and yeah Barrowlands is still a pretty vibrant place in Glasgow these days.
Nice pics. The I of Man is like that but we only have one mountain LOL. And the road across it is used for the TT.
Never mind England and Scotland................... WALES is the place.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
