Just wondering if there will be a mobile friendly version of this great forum page? maybe add the forum on Tapatalk?
@oss will answer that for you, I tried it on my mobile once and its too fiddly, but I wear milk bottle bottoms so that doesn't help
Oh I just checked on my mobile and it does seem to be mobile friendly. Cool I check it out. Would be cool on Tapatalk also.
yep--ive got it on my window phone. but watch out for scams that look like official site posts though.
I have it on my iphone. But find it difficult to use, purely because of the size of the device. A smart watch version would be virtually u/s ?
My phone has a 5inch screen, known as a phablet and I find it sufficient for browsing the forum. Not so sure a smart watch is really designed with browsing in mind. A work colleague showed me his Apple watch. It was OK for reading email I guess but the size limits its functionality in my view. The one thing he did highlight is that he can save on his phone battery by using the watch but at £600 or whatever it was a bit Ott for me.
Not going to happen again mate, at least not for a good while, I removed the ads, this site makes no money from advertising.
The current crop of smart watches are really really dumb watches I like watches, proper ones that you use to tell the time, I like them to tell the time very accurately if possible, so I like quartz, kinetic quartz and solar, all basically using an electronic movement. A good watch should have some degree of elegance of design, usually specific to its intended function, be it diver, dress or a tool watch like a chrono. Auto's annoy me because I keep having to set the time through not wearing them often enough and also because they are intrinsically poor time keepers. Smart Watches, specifically the Apple thing, well for my taste it is just ugly ugly ugly, and I have seen one in real life, still ugly. The UI (User Interface) is intrinsically too small to pretty much use for anything other than telling the time, yes it can do some notifications, but as a UI it's dumb, at least in my opinion. Now if someone came up with a smart gauntlet with a fully flexible screen and good touch or voice UI, I might think about it. Actually voice UI, nah I don't want to spend large amounts of time talking to my wrist, I just don't, does anyone? I don't even like video calls on a cellphone as I hate looking at myself on the bleedin screen
My boss (employer) is an Apple fan and isnt limited by his pocket in any way, but hasnt bothered with the watch. I can understand why. None of his family have, either. The iphone is as small as they go. He does, however get a hell of a lot out of an iphone, despite having "salami fingers".
