Thanks to fellow member @kolmeberto my wife has registered with the govuk site and there is a test center in Portsmouth with plenty of dates available. Very easy for us to get to. i would rate her chances of passing at 1 in 3. She has lived in the UK for nearly 9 years now, holds a very good job.. and spoke good English before she ever came to the UK. She does test questions every evening..often asking me for the answer--and most times i havent a clue. Many of the questions have no relevance whatsoever to life in the UK in 2021. How on earth other immigrants, from countries that dont use the english language, get on--i cant imagine. i foresee a number of visits to the test center between now and may.
Is she actually reading the book on which the test is based? It's easy if you do that. It's just questions on the text. My wife even got the question on Bobby Moore being captain of England in the 1966 World Cup final because she read the book.
I've said the same. Interesting you mention Bobby Moore a question on the Chase the other night was "which club team did the 2 goal scorers in England world cup final play for" Manchester United West Ham Liverpool Contestant ( middle aged man) reply Man Utd
