Sods law is real. For 10 years, always had great supply of cheap barangay water. (10 Peso per cubic meter) Always had nagging feeling that we needed back up plan, so we had a big hole dug out of the coral stone for a new underground 30 tonne water storage tank. 3 weeks ago we put in concrete forms for walls and used 50 sacks of cement in a 4/3/2 mix..Removed the forms and ready for floor to be poured. Water goes off for the first time ever and not come back on for 6 days today! (apart from earthquake) So now we have no water to mix the concrete for the floor we need to finish the tank we will store water in. Liza..There`s a big hole in my bucket!
That depends on its source. Davao water is definitely potable and is said to be one of the purest in the world, but you won't find many people drinking it from the tap. I never touched a drop of bottled water in the six or so years we lived there and suffered no ill-effects. I think Bohol's public water supply is deep underground and extracted via bores in which case it should be fairly decent also; but again few will drink it as-is.
Reminds me of when I was renting a country bungalow, when I was a young lad. I thought it was curious that the odd feather would come out through the hot tap while I was having a nice relaxing soak in the bath. It had gone on for a number of days by the time something 'twigged', and I decided to take a look up in the loft... thinking perhaps there was an old bird nest up there. There were one or two in fact, but also a big fat putrid pigeon floating around in the cold water tank.
Not sure..Because we live on a small island the water will have different percentages of salt content. They are drilling our well now..70 ft deep..The foot valve will sit at 65 ft. We buy purified drinking water in 5 gallon bottles..15 Peso a pop.
