Hi guys, I'm a Filipino holder of a Philippine passport. We are planning to go Vietnam this January and we're wondering if I would need a transit visa in Qatar. We are not planning to go out of the airport since our connecting flight is just between 1-2 hours. I emailed the Qatar embassy here in London but no reply. Thanks in advance for your help.
You will not need a visa for transit (assuming you are booked on a single ticket UK-Qatar-Viet). Doha Airport (plus those in Abu Dhabi, Dubai etc) would be ghost towns if they required transit visas for the likes of Filipinos, Indians and Africans.
