Had an "interesting "NHS experience this week I was due a sixmonth visit to the opthalmology department reminded by a feeling of pressure in my good eye. So on Wed morning I phoned to make an appointment and was delighted to get an appointment for the Local Hospital for the next morning. On the A.M. I woke at 0600 to a full on weeping eye flaired up with conjunctavitis so was very pleased that I had the appointment Waited 45 mins over the time but heh ho the Doc said no driving because of the drops she put in but no problem since the missus drove Down hill from there The Doc apperently couldnt write a prescription for the steroids I urgently needed no satisfactory explaination only a letter to my GP asking to issue one This involved a 40 mile round trip (lucky im not without a driver) and then discover not one of 8 Pharmacies have the item so had to wait 24 hours to start the "Urgent" prescription
