Hi all! I recently received my approved Spouse Visa. I need advises on what documents I should bring to the airport on the day of my departure that Phil Immigration may require or ask me to show them. Thanks much
As as far as what i can gather, just the cfo sticker. I will be bringing the original documents that i have provided on my visa application. It shouldnt be asked by immigration officer here but it will be useful when you apply for the next visa after 6 months.
Congratulations on your successful application. As for your concern, it's wise to bring the documents that you submitted with you (put it in your hand carry bag). Some immigratiom officers in London will ask proof about your husband's address (this is only base from other's experience I read). Also if you're not traveling with your husband make sure you have phone ready with you in case they want to contact them (but it's not always the case). Just be ready for everything. Congrats again and enjoy the UK.
Hi @Brom27 my son and I will be traveling with my Fiance to UK. Do you think I do not need to bring any papers?
I think it's wise to bring all the docs you submitted with your application. I'm not sure if they require any extra documents for your son but might be good idea to have his birth certificate ready just to prove he is your son. You should be okay really especially if you're traveling with your fiancé. Enjoy.
Hi Brom27! Thank you for the tip. By the way, do you happen to know that having a Spouse Visa, I can only book a one way flight?
T that was what suggested on my question yesterday- that it is okay to book a one-way ticket. I know initial common sense will tell you it should be okay since you really dont know when you'll be back in ph but we all know how immigration in ph works (or doesnt work in this case)
Yes definitely. You are not obliged to have a return ticket. It's a spouse visa and they should know that it's a settlement visa meaning you'll be living in the UK. So don't bother about booking a two way ticket. Enjoy
