This is for non EU migrants coming to Britain to work.

Still ridiculous, as the RCN points out at a time when they need nurses and could get them from abroad they basically have ruled out any chance of a migrant being able to stay here after 5 years.

So unless you have naturalised as a British citizen, it is bye bye even if you have a full time job and are supporting yourself without a problem.

To be honest I'm unsure just how this will impact NHS nurses in the short term.
An entry level nurse should be under pay band 5 (£21,692 - £28,180)
After 5 years should be in pay band 7 or even 8 (£31k - £81k)

Most of the Filipino nurse I know are well thought of and in high grades.

Currently, NHS Nurses are considered exemption.

Hopefully none will be impacted from this illogical move

As a Northern Englishman who has spent much of his working life in Luxembourg, I am anti EU.

I would vote for the UK to leave the EU and take back control of its own affairs.
