Hi i just wanna know if how long does it take to release your Marriage certificate from NSO. Thank you.
In my case, we married May 28th and received the NSO cert about June 28th. One month. It helps if you know someone in City hall that you can hassle a bit.
There's an official process for expedite of Marriage Certificate. Of course there's a small charge, nothing much, but IMHO it should always be requested.
I called nso hotline and told me I can get it in 1-2 months if your in manila area. And it takes 6 months in provincial area. I live in Fairview qc so no worries i hope so.
@Iainchelle Hi there! How's your certificate going? I'm going to receive our marriage certificate this week, we paid in NSO quezon city , we hired someone to make the process faster. Money talks in Phil, I'm glad lol I hope you'll get your marriage certificate soon
Hi Iainchelle, releasing of marriage certificate from NSO depends on how you process it. It is best if you do it yourself. Since you are based here in Manila, it's very fast and easy: After the marriage ceremony, the certificate must be forwarded immediately. Get an endorsement from the local civil registry office and show them your Marriage Certificate (wether it's a civil or church wedding) and make sure to check all entries to avoid future problems or delays. You only have to pay the courier fee (around 150 to 200 Php max ) and the staff will be facilitating the endorsement for you. After payment, just wait for the LBC receipt attached with an endorsement letter and a copy of your marriage certificate from the staff. Normally they will give it to you within the day or the next day if they are busy. Sometimes they will ask you if you let them forward that paper to NSO. Just tell them that you will be the one doing it. You can go to NSO East Avenue anytime. Once you have submitted the endorsement and paid the corresponding fee (it's just the fee for the number of copies you would want to get), you will be advised to return after 15 working days to get your Marriage Certificate in Security Paper (a.k.a NSO). So, in less than a month you will have your MC. For the fee itself, you will just spend less than P500.00 pesos (Courier Fee at the registry office + NSO fee). Hope it helps.. . I did it myself. I spent less than 500 Php for the fee. As long as you show them that you know what you are doing, the registry office won't make it difficult or make money out of it. Don't ever let a fixer do it for you. Just do it yourself. It's very easy. Just follow the steps.. P.S Upon checking the LBC receipt, I found out that it was just P80.00 ..
It's been almost a month since our wedding and marriage certificate will be released today, picking it up bow. Paid 5,000
That's a lot Erica....I only paid less than P500.00 , I couldn't remember the exact figure but most probably it was around 370 Php something like that. Congrats because the waiting time was lessened.. I got mine, 3 weeks after submission. There is a special lane for newly weds in NSO East Avenue so it wasn't hard.
Hello @Erica and @PatVen my highschool friend told me they already forwarded the paper for register since last month. Right after my wedding. I will have my CTC this week. It so happened she's busy and her daughter is in the hospital thats why she will drop by to my home this week for my ctc btw my hs friend husband is working in cityhall that's why i ask them to help me. ll just wait for nso copy this month or nextmonth. So for now im doing my chat log every month while im waiting then after that ill renew my passport next is English test and tb test. Once our paper is complete we will apply for spouse visa. We can do this.
Oh that's great! Lucky girl you got a friend in city hall Yeach that's good keep yourself busy preparing the requirements for the spousal visa, mostly the requirements are coming from the husband, there are threads here that will help you with the application God bless dear!
Yep with the help of this forum he is now preparing for the requirements that needs from him. And he will send it to me thru dhl. You too and God bless.
We married in late September and my wife picked up the certificates last month. Cost was no more than a few hundred pesos (standard official fees).
Sometimes,You don't need to pay to make the process faster you just need to talked someone who has right. I get my marriage certificate a month later our wedding.
