Kumusta everybody My asawa has a FLR visa. Do you know if it ok to travel around Europe on her FLR visa, mainly Spain? If it is legal, in reality are we likely to get grief? Ta
I'm that way inclined too. I do enough visa applications as it is without doing them for "pleasure"!! One thing we might do is book a holiday through a Travel Agent and pay them to do the visa. I asked in one in our local High Street and they said they pass us on to a visa company who sort out the visa. No doubt there would be a fee but it would probably make for less effort.
Its only £50 for a schengan free if your Family is here on the European Route or your willing to insist on free movement rights http://www.immigrationboards.com/eu...thout-visa-for-eea-family-members-t95372.html
Not sure on the Schengen Visa regs these days but it was always a mandatory personal appearance for Filipino passport holders. The German Embassy did postal applications for while but then stopped. Outside the Schengen zone some Embassies did allow postal/third party visa applications. Better to review the individual Embassy websites for the latest requirements. Outside the Schengen zone some Embassies did allows
I believe that biometrics are required at the time of application for all Schengen countries, regardless of visa type. That therefore means a personal appearance by applicants.
We went on holiday last month but I could not be bothered travelling to London to get a Visa so we opted for Istanbul, Turkey instead. Luckily we did not get blown up!
I think there are only two European Countries that Filipinos can visit without a visa - Georgia and Kosovo. Part of Istanbul is in Europe of course and you can download a visa for Turkey from the Internet for 20 USD.
But do the Free Movement Rights apply where a British Citizen did not use those rights to bring his spouse into the UK initially?
Yes in so far as its a free schengan no in the sence that Rules residence is not an article 10-20 under the Directive
