Because they want to rip off an arm and one of your legs for the privilege of sending messages to one another, I changed my profile to suggest that I might be found each evening updating my facebook profile, and also included my full name. Then, I sent a message - fb me - to Melody (and yes, others too)

Melody worked out my not-too-subtle suggestion and sent me a friend request. Then we used messenger, viber and such to build our relationship until the time came when I could visit.

Of course, there are scammers among the women. Of course there are the dysfunctional among the men. But one would assume that by using a little common sense and good judgment, these can be weeded out.
