Report of Marriage to Ph Embassy

After 2 months and 8 days, and sending an e-mail to the Philippine Embassy a week before, our documents has finally arrived today. I have been trying to ring the Philippine Embassy today but to no avail, I keep hearing the busy dial tone. Then a few minutes later, our doorbell rang and I saw the delivery guy held the specialized envelope we sent. I thought all this time I would be receiving an NSO paper with the printed marriage certificate/ report of marriage form on it. It was just a copy of the form with the Consul's name and signature, a stamp of Ph Embassy logo and the registry numbers. I am just glad they returned our original marriage certificate as promised. It wasn't supposed to be taken by the consulate officials because we provided all 4 copies but the lady took it anyway because (according to them) our marriage certificate number wasn't that clear.

At least, I now have the document required for my passport renewal next year. I wish we don't have to wait this long. Anyway, all's well that ends well as they say. :p

Do we still need to report the marriage even same sex marriage is not recognised in the Philippines?

You might want to contact the London Philippine Embassy on that one OrB, once known it will be good information for the forum :)

Didn't you get married in the Philippines though, at the British Embassy?

Report of marriage to the London Philippine Embassy is for those who married in the UK, the records at the NSO in the Philippines are then updated.

My own guess would be that you do not need to report the marriage but some clarification from an official Philippine sources like the Embassy in London would put your mind at rest.
