    Hi there all.
Just joined and not sure what to do but lets see where this leads.
Got married to Darlene in 2011
In deepest Pangasinan, lived there until last year.
    Darlene then visited for 6
Months and we are now almost at the end of of the spouse/wife application.
    English test on thursday.
A couple of questions for anyone who has done the application in the last 6 months or so.
Can I use the super priority service for settlement or only the priority ( 10 )days

Hope this uploads to the correct place

Welcome to the forum young man :)

The SPV is only available in the Philippines for non settlement visas, I'm sure the premium service will do (10 day decision).

You must have plenty of spare cash if you're thinking of the SPV :)

For future reference there is a super priority visa service in the UK when you will apply for the FLR(M), a snip at around £6k + the UKVI even comes to your house to process the application :)

EDIT: £8,750 is the cost of UK SPV (only available in the UK)

    Hi Timmers
    Thanks for that.
Premium it is then ( I thought the same ) but the wording on on everything is so difficult to get an exact definition.
I presume the FLR is for further down the line at staying forever time.
Eye watering to say the least.
Thats an extra 10 days to wait,
Together with the 7 waiting for the English result
    Darlene should make Christmas.:)

    Hi again Timmers
    I just clicked the link.
    Confusion again
On the link it says payment can be online or cash at appointment.

On application it says payment within 3 hours
    Or cancellation of appointment.
    Just for info.
    Regards

Yes, the initial spouse visa will last for 2.5 years after which you will have to apply for the FLR(M) which will give you a further 2.5 years then you will apply for the ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain) then the visa journey is at an end, you can however apply for British Citizenship once the missus has held the ILR for one year.

When you apply for the FLR(M) there are several premium centres around the UK where you attend (extra £500 on top of visa and NHS surcharge) and get the decision the same day, no need for SPV service :)

Count yourself lucky, the priority visa service only started in the Philippines in February of this year, before that time we had to wait 2 - 3 months for the decision.

There has to be a bit of luck involved I guess
Darlene should. Be here by now
But she got sick the day before the English test and we then waited 21 days for new appointment
Thats a rip off at 13k
    Such is life :)

You are now on the open forum where all the members can view your postings and reply if they wish. I know its all a little confusing to start with, you'll soon get the hang of it.

If you have any specific questions about the visa you can just start a new thread and someone will always try to help you out, for example I do not personally have any experience of the new priority service in the Philippines but a lot of the members here will, there has been a lot of successful visa applications recently here on the forum.

The visa process can be a bit of a roller coaster ride but its all worth it in the end, this forum was a great help to me when we were applying, I started off just like you and the people here were kind enough to point me in the right direction as needed.

It does get easier as you begin to understand all the visa requirements.

    Hi deanobeano
Can I ask when you did this??
It says everywhere that no cash can be paid at interview??
All has to be done on line??
Another thing I am reading about is a completed Self Assessment form??
Am I correct that this is from older applications
I saw nothing about this on Darlenes application
    Or when reading the requirements
    HELP please on this one
